Reinvestment in our most significant historic structures is vital to the economic health and quality of life in communities across New Jersey. Redevelopment of landmarks and historic neighborhoods makes good sense.
Declining local tax bases, need for affordable housing, increasingly gridlocked suburban traffic and burgeoning landfills argue for re-use of existing buildings and their embodied energy for more stable, livable and “greener” communities.
